Regina Sipos, a social entrepreneur and researcher at the intersection of society and technology, challenged Garnet Hertz, an internationally recognised designer and electronic artist, known for his work on critical making.

Time for a game!
Sandra Mamitzsch & Barbara Kieslinger took over Home Base for 60 Minutes of joyful and playful exploration of the criticality in making. They invited participants to play the Critical Making game to reflect on how critical, sustainable and responsible your making is.


Part of the New European Bauhaus Festival 2022
The Festival brings together citizens from all walks of life to debate and shape our future landscape. It is an opportunity to explore the New European Bauhaus values of beauty, sustainability and togetherness, and their power to address societal challenges. Critical Making is a proud partner on the festival side events. In March 2021, we kick-started our project with an Interactive Workshop: Exploring Critical Making. We hosted a conversation with experts of experimental research approaches and makers on how they are using new, different, hands-on research methods to shape the maker community to be more inclusive.
